Ireland will be hammered by another few days of wet and windy conditions but a major change is on the way.
Independent weather forecaster Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather said lovely spring conditions are on the way. He said on Twitter: "Turning wet again tomorrow afternoon and into Friday with over 40mm of rain possible in the Southwest.
"Low pressure will give way to high pressure on Sunday and trends continue to show more settled weather from around next Tuesday as high pressure builds nearby." Today will see sunny spells with scattered showers some of which may turn heavy with a slight chance of an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon.
