Met Eireann has predicted a generally bright and warm Saturday but there will be an icy change in the evening.
The national forecaster said today will have a bright start with some early sunny spells, with temperatures as high as 13 degrees. Those enjoying St Patrick's Day weekend can make the most out of it. However, the evening will bring much cooler air and temperatures will drop to -1 and -2 degrees with patchy frost and ice developing in some parts.
The have said: "A bright start with some early sunny spells. However thickening cloud along with a band of rain will move over later in the morning. The rain will move off into the Irish Sea by late afternoon with sunny spells developing from the west. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees."

The evening will be "mostly clear and dry". Met Eireann have added: "Northwest winds will freshen and bring much cooler air over the country as lowest temperatures fall to -1 to +2 degrees. Patchy frost or ice may develop in some parts."
Meanwhile, tomorrow will have a similar dry and bright start, although slightly more windy. A band of rain will move over in the afternoon as a more moderate southerly breeze develops. The rain will persist through to evening but gradually clear away to the north later. The highest temperatures will reach 8 to 10 degrees.
According to the national forecast, Sunday night will be generally unsettled with rain and showers at times. It will be cloudy with widespread rain but it will slowly clear from the south early in the night. Overnight the rain will persist in the north but elsewhere it will be mostly dry with just a few isolated showers. Moderate southerly winds will persist with lows of 4 to 8 degrees.

Monday
"A wet start to the week as widespread rain continues over the northern half of the country with scattered showers elsewhere. Later in the afternoon a band of persistent rain will move in from the west with heavy falls a times. Southerly winds will be fresh to strong and highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees."
Monday night will have outbreaks of rain continuing throughout the country during the night with possible thunderstorms in the west. There will be moderate to fresh southerly winds and lowest temperatures of 6 to 8 degrees.
Tuesday
"An unsettled day with showers early on followed by a band of more persistent rain moving in from the west. The rain will gradually spread throughout the country by the afternoon, possibly heavy at times in the west. Moderate southwest winds freshening along Atlantic coasts. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees."
Tuesday night will have widespread rain, heavy and persistent in the west. The rain will continue through the night with fresh to strong south to southwest winds. Highs of 10 to 13 degrees.
Wednesday
"Current indications are for a rather unsettled day. A band of rain will move off the country followed by scattered showers. Blustery southerly winds with highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees."
