A Dublin waste management company is among 13 sites the Environmental Protection Agency has identified as priority pollution areas in its National Priority Sites.
SRCL in Dublin was listed due to issues with waste management. The facility is located in the Western Industrial Estate on the Naas Road.
Of these, six were from the food and drink sector and five were from the waste sector. The most common issues identified by the EPA were non compliance with emission limit values, poor operation of wastewater treatment plants and the handling and storage of waste at waste processing sites.
