Rents in Dublin have skyrocketed to a record high as the average property costs €2,170 a month.
A stark new report by Daft.ie showed a sharp increase in rent in the second quarter of the year. Additionally, Ireland has the lowest number of properties to rent since the same report began 15 years ago.
There were just over 700 homes available to rent in Ireland on August 1 which is down from nearly 2,500 last year. There are less than 300 homes to rent in Dublin.
