Dublin pub goers have had their say on the best bars in the city to go for a "quiet pint".
Taking to Reddit last night, one Dubliner asked for recommendations on places they could go for a peaceful pint, explaining that they were getting over a sensitivity issue and wanted to have "regular conversation without pumping music or being absolutely wedged".
Responses soon poured in, with plenty of pubs across the city getting a mention. Neary's was one highly recommended pub, with one user praising their "nice pints".

They said: "Neary’s. Just off Grafton St, lovely decor and nice pints. The ambient levels there are always fairly hush imo."
Christchurch's The Lord Edward was also highly recommended. One user said: "I'm about 70% deaf (have a cochlear implant) and find that most of the proper Victorian pubs are grand especially in the afternoon.
"If you go early-ish in the evening, then upstairs in The Lord Edward has great acoustics, probably thanks to the deep carpet."
Another added: "Upstairs in the Lord Edward is a dream. What a spot."
The Flowing Tide, Briodys, O'Connells, Slatterys in Rathmines, Brogans, The Confession Box, Mulligans, Corrigan's, Kennedy's of Drumcondra, the Dawson Lounge, and Bowes were also recommended on the thread.
