Dublin Pride 2023: List of road closures and diversions for Pride Parade

A number of road closures and traffic diversions will be in place in Dublin for this year's Pride Parade June 24.

Thousands will descend upon the capital as the Parade kicks off at 12pm on O'Connell Street. It will head down Eden Quay, Custom House Quay, Talbot Memorial Bridge, City Quay, Lombard Street, Westland Row, and Lincoln Place, before ending at Merrion Square.

A number of roads will be closed to facilitate Pride event. These include O’Connell Street (from Parnell Street to Bachelors Walk/Eden Quay) and Cathal Brugha Street (from O’Connell Street Upper to Marlborough Street), which will be closed from 8am to 4pm this Saturday.

Additionally, Merrion Square East and South, as well as Fitzwilliam Street Lower and Mount Street Upper will be closed from 6am until 10pm. Dublin City Council has stated local signed diversions will be put in place.

Drivers who want to travel west on the north quays will find diversions via Guild Street, Seville Place, Portland Row, North Circular Road, Dorset Street, Bolton Street, King Street North and Queen Street.

Dublin City Council added: "Traffic on Wolfe Tone Quay wishing to travel east on the North quays will be diverted via Blackhall Place, Stoneybatter, Manor Street, Prussia Street, North Circular Road, Portland Row, Seville Place and Guild Street.

"Traffic on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay wishing to travel on the South Quays to the city centre will be diverted via Cardiff Lane/Macken Street/Grand Canal Street Lower/Grand Canal Street Upper/Haddington Road/Leeson Street and Stephen’s Green."

The Council has added that pedestrian and local access will be maintained.

Dublin Bus has also announced they will have numerous diversion. Visit their official website to see if your commute has been impacted. There will also be a temporary closure of both the Red and Green Luas.
