Dublin mum fundraising for 'amazing' special needs school in Kilnamanagh that needs updated facilities

A Dublin mum is fundraising for the Abacas Special School in Kilnamanagh after seeing the "incredible" difference the school has made to her son’s development, with the school needing new toilets.

Tanya Lieghio's son Max has attended the school for over a year. Max has autism and is non-verbal, and has complex additional needs that only a school like Abacas Special School can cater for.

Tanya told Dublin Live that she decided to set up a GoFundMe page for the school which desperately needs its facilities updated. She said: "My little boy Max is nine, he's only going to the school over a year. It took a long time to get him a school place, we're very lucky to get him there because we're actually from the area as well.
