The opening date for the Dublin LEGO store has been announced.
The store on Dublin's Grafton Street will be the toy brand's Irish flagship and has promised that it will go beyond just selling LEGO offering visitors an array of experiences.
The store will open at 41 Grafton Street on Thursday, August 18. To mark the countdown, LEGO builders ascended on Sandymount Strand to build an impressive replica of the iconic Poolbeg Towers.

The Poolbeg Towers replica will be on permanent display at the LEGO on Grafton Street store from the time it opens.
Additionally, some aspects of their Dublin store will include a mini figure factory, which allows shoppers to design and create a unique LEGO mini figure.
There will also be a "Pick a Brick Wall" where LEGO fans can find exact parts they need for their builds, as well as "hands on play" where shoppers have the opportunity to participate in free-build challenges and events.
Other things that are expected to attract visitors to the Dublin LEGO store include 3D LEGO models throughout the store inspired by the city of Dublin and Irish culture and Lego Expression, which are LEGO mini figures that mimic their facial expressions.
"The city has been part of LEGO Retail’s expansion strategy for many years given the existing huge number of LEGO Fans in Ireland and the international customers typically found in the city," said Simone Sweeney, Vice President of Global LEGO Retail Development in February.
The LEGO Group is on the hunt for staff for its brand new Dublin store, including a supervisor.
In May, Dublin City Council vetoed significant elements of the company's plans to overhaul the shopfront of 41 Grafton Street, notably the mock LEGO cladding.
