Dublin jobs: Dublin Fire Brigade to host recruitment fair at end of month

Dublin Fire Brigade are set to hire new recruits with a job fair at the end of this month.

According to Dublin Fire Brigade, they are looking for new firefighters and administrative staff to join their ranks. The jobs fair will take place on Saturday, 29 October in Richmond Park, Inchicore from 10am to 12pm.

They said: "Dublin Fire Brigade will be holding a recruitment fair for the following roles; firefighters and administration roles."

The role of a firefighter is varied and some of the main responsibilities include: Promoting community fire safety, resolving emergencies (fire and rescue), resolving emergency ambulance cases, developing local awareness, promoting health and safety, personal development etc.

It comes as last month the Guinness Fire Brigade was looking to recruit EMTs to join their Dublin team. Successful applicants will work at one of the oldest fire stations in Ireland.

The emergency service is recruiting first responders who are on the PHECC register and would preferably have a full C1 licence. A spokesperson for the service said they are hiring to expand their team in Dublin 8.
