Dublin GAA have paid tribute to Patsy Kiernan following the death of the former Parnell Park caretaker.
Patsy was the caretaker in Parnell Park since the redevelopment of the grounds in 1995 and guided the growth of their club at juvenile and adult level.
Dublin GAA said in a statement: "Patsy was a conscientious, caring and patient man who was dedicated to the GAA and a great friend to the staff, committee members, team mentors, players and visiting officials. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone and took great pride in our grounds, working tirelessly to ensure everything was in place for the next game / meeting.
"Patsy had a great sense of community and was involved in a number of charities. He was also instrumental in organising the fundraising initiatives for St. Francis Hospice on match days in Parnell Park.
"Coiste Átha Cliath extend our sincere sympathies to Patsy’s family and friends."
Tributes have poured in for Patsy on social media, with a number of fans paying their respects to him.
One wrote: "Very sad to hear Patsy has died Dublin GAA have lost another great servant and legend. He always greeted us with a lovely warm welcome. Sincere condolences to all his family and friends. Lord rest his gentle soul."
Another commented: "RIP Patsy always a gentleman and so helpfull whenever we were in Parnell from all at Cuala."
Someone else said: "Ahh very sad news.. always made you feel welcomed."
