Passengers heading to Dublin Airport will have to contend with major traffic diversions this week.
Nighttime roadworks will take place from January 17-21 at Terminal 1, and the Arrivals Road will be closed to drivers from 7pm to 4am.
The Departures Road will also be closed to traffic from 9pm until 3.30am.
Local diversions will be in place.
Meanwhile, passenger numbers for Dublin Airport for all of 2021 are up 14% to 8.46 million compared to 2020 but are still 74% below 2019 levels.
66% of all passengers who made their way through Dublin Airport in 2021 did. so in the months of August, September, October and November which equates to 5.6 million passengers.
Short-haul traffic increased by 17% to 7.5 million passengers compared to 2020 but long haul passengers decreased by 1% in 2021 to almost 1 million.
However, this is a decrease of 83% when compared to with pre-Covid passengers for long haul and 73% for short-haul in 2019.
