Dublin Airport is looking to recruit security officers to join its team in the capital.
The airport is offering wages of €15.34 per hour (increasing to €15.88 from April 2023) i.e. the starting Salary of €31,993.10 progressing to €45,295.27 over 7 years. Previous security experience is not needed as candidates will be provided with full training.
This is a permanent role with the following three contract types on offer:

- 40 hours weekly– 40 hours guaranteed but flexibility required to work various shifts across a 7-day roster
- 30-40 hours weekly – 30 hours guaranteed but flexibility required to work up to 40 hours across a 7-day roster
- 20-hour weekend contract – flexibility required to work various shifts across Friday/Saturday/Sunday
The ideal applicant will have to be available to work in a 24/7 shift environment, have excellent communication skills, and be professional in manner and behaviour amongst other things. The selection process for these roles will include one online assessment, one interview in person, a 5-year background check, garda vetting and pre-employment medical (including a colour vision test).
Security officers will be responsible for screening all passengers and baggage, reporting any security issues, examining vehicles, and screening airport supplies, and more.
