The DSPCA has issued an update on a beloved dog after a family backed out of meeting him last week.
Jordan, a 12-year-old border collie, is the longest resident at the animal shelter. Jordan first arrived at the the DSPCA a year and a half ago and is in need of a home.
The elderly dog caught the public's sympathy after attempts to unite him with a family were dashed. Dapper Jordan even wore a bow tie ahead of a planned meet-up on Saturday but the family failed to show up.
However, DSPCA staff remain positive after the setback. Jordan has already met with some new families this week after his story was shared on social media.

The DSPCA wrote on Instagram: "Jordan met a few lovely families on Monday and will meet more during the week. The team are going through all the finer details and we'll keep you posted."
The animal charity thanked people for spreading the word about Jordan's scenario online. Staff were particularly disappointed by Saturday's no show as it was the second time Jordan had been let down by a potential family.
The pooch is described by the charity as a "distinguished older gentleman" looking for a quiet home. The border collie loves walks and is best suited to being the only dog in a household.
