A DSPCA rescue dog has found his forever home a fortnight after being let down by a potential family.
Staff took to Instagram to share Jordan's sad story. The elderly border collie mix first came to the DSPCA over a year ago but had no luck in finding a loving family outside the shelter.
The DSPCA captured the public's attention with an adorable photo of Jordan spruced up in a bow tie. The post revealed that Jordan had been stood up by a prospective family, despite staff's valiant efforts to get him looking his best.
Jordan's upsetting story quickly spread on social media. Many people expressed an interest in adopting the pooch and he began to meet with eligible families at the shelter.

Jordan has now found a permanent home following his setback two weeks ago. Staff posted an update on Instagram and thanked the public for their tireless support.
The DSPCA wrote: "We can't believe we're saying this but Jordan has found a home. When we shared the devastating news two weeks ago about Jordan and how he got all dressed up to meet a family who never showed, the response from the whole nation and overseas was overwhelming."
The beloved dog has now officially moved in with new owners Angela and Tommy. Staff say that it was "love at first sight" between Jordan and his new clan, who are showering him with plenty of treats.
The DSPCA confirmed Jordan donned his bow tie once again on moving day. The beloved pet spent 500 days in the DSPCA before uniting with his new family.
