A 'drunken idiot' has left a popular Edinburgh restaurant 'thousands of pounds' out of pocket after needlessly wrecking an expensive flower display
The Pakora Bar in the Canongate called out the vandal in a desperate appeal to customers and posted stills from CCTV footage after the individual was caught on camera.
The man can be seen approaching the expensive flower garlands around their windows and doors and then ripping them off of the wall before making off minutes later at 4.30 am on Tuesday August 23, Edinburgh Live reports.
Furious at the behaviour, the restaurant said they have reported the incident to the police, and urged anyone with information to get in touch with them.
Staff said: "Some drunken idiot decided to rip down out outside flower decorations causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
"This is where we need your help, please share and spread the word so we can find the man responsible for this. Hospitality as been hit hard the past few tears, and for now this to happen is horrific.
"If you or anyone you know think you may recognise this man, then please come forward and we can deal with it all anonymously."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers have received a report of damaged to a property on Canongate, Edinburgh, around 4.30am on Tuesday, 23 August, 2022.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
