Herbal cannabis worth €400,000 was seized by Revenue officers in west Dublin yesterday.
The ongoing investigations targeted individuals suspected to be involved in an organised crime group operating in the west Dublin area.
A Joint Operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the Clondalkin Divisional Drugs Unit and personnel attached to the Revenue Customs Service.
A number of subsequent searches were carried out as a result of this seizure.
Garda Info tweeted: "GNDOCB and the Clondalkin Divisional Drugs Unit conducted a joint operation with @RevenueIE yesterday resulting in the seizure of approximately €400,000 worth of cannabis by Revenue Customs Service."
This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
