A drone was seized after officer spotted a car parked near HMP Risley.

At around 1.15am on Tuesday, April 25, officers patrolling on Warrington Road near HMP Risley, Warrington, spotted a dark grey BMW 320D parked in a layby. Officers stopped the car and spoke to the people inside.

While police checked the car they found a drone and a small bag of white tablets. Three men aged 32, 35 and 56, from Greater Manchester were arrested on suspicion of conveying an article into a prison.
