Driving experts warn parents of £500 fine if their children undo seatbelts in car

Parents are being urged to ensure their children always wear seatbelts in a car - or face a £500 fine.

Road safety technology experts at Snooper say youngsters can be tempted to undo their own belts during journeys, so it is important for parents to make sure their kids haven't unclicked. If a child undoes their harness while the car is moving, the driver should pull over as soon as it is safe to do so.

The experts emphasise that seatbelts are incredibly important and offer a safety system to prevent and reduce injuries in a crash. They also significantly lower the risk of being thrown out of a vehicle.
