Benefit cheats could be banned from driving if they refuse to hand cash back to taxpayers under a major government crackdown on the spiralling welfare bill.
Fraudsters also face having cash recovered directly from their bank accounts by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) under the biggest targeting of benefit fraud in a generation.
