After temperatures plummeted to below-freezing earlier this month, many parts of the country are still experiencing morning frosts and all the hassle that comes with it - including trying to warm your car up and melt the sheet of ice that forms over the windscreen.
But motorists are now being warned by car experts not to try one of the most popular methods of getting a car to warm up quickly, as it turns out it could cause costly damage to the vehicle.
Seb Goldin, CEO of RED Driving School, has said drivers should not be revving their engines in an attempt to get rid of frost and bring their car up to a suitable temperature, as doing so could damage the engine - leading to an expensive repair.
