Drivers issued warning over 'risky' fuel-saving techniques that should be avoided

Drivers have been issued a warning over practicing the most common fuel-saving techniques.

While petrol prices are falling, they are still higher than normal, with RAC confirming that the average price for petrol is currently at 169.58 with diesel at 183.734. With this, some motorists may be using certain techniques to reduce their fuel usage.

However, driving experts are warning that some of these can be dangerous, as Express reports. One stresses that motorists should “never” freewheel in a modern car, as it will switch off the safety system.
