Driver wins £269 parking fine appeal because the car park payment sign was 'barely legible'

An American woman who was hit with a hefty parking fine after moving to Wales during lockdown has won a two-year battle to have the penalty reversed.

Lynnea Arnold was ordered to pay a total of £269 after going out for a meal in September 2020, shortly before Covid restrictions were eased and the 'Eat Out To Help Out' scheme was launched.

However, a few weeks after parking up and grabbing a burger with her partner and two children, the 39-year-old massage therapist from Detroit received a letter from London-based New Generation Parking Management.
