A driver who crashed her car in Salford has allegedly tested positive for drugs for the second time in a week - in front of the same police officer. Greater Manchester Police first pulled over the grey Vauxhall Crossland last Wednesday (April 20).
In a post on Twitter that day, GMP Traffic said the car had been pulled over on Cholmondeley Road, in Salford. When stopped, the officer tested the motorist for drug driving, and GMP says the test came back positive.
Having already fallen foul of the law just six days ago, police were left shocked as they discovered the same driver crashed her car earlier this morning (April 26). GMP says the same police officer was on patrol today as last Wednesday, and they inspected the Vauxhall following the collision, in Pendleton.
The car was found with the front bumper severely damaged, along with the front wheel arch on the driver's side. The officer spoke to the driver and was stunned to see it was the same woman who was at the wheel last week.
GMP says the driver was given another drugs test and provided another positive sample for cannabis. A spokesperson for GMP Traffic wrote on Twitter: "You may remember the female arrested last Wednesday in the Vauxhall on Cholmondeley Road for providing a positive sample for cannabis.
"Unfortunately she’s just been arrested again in Salford for again providing a positive sample to (believe it or not) the same officer after crashing her car."
