Driver taken to hospital, crash caused 2km delay near airport

A car crash at the intersection of Fairbairn Avenue and Pialligo Avenue caused major traffic delays for people travelling into the city on Tuesday evening.

The incident involving three vehicles occurred just after 5pm and reportedly caused a slow-moving line of traffic at least two kilometres long.

An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said paramedics had assessed one person for injuries at the location.

ACT Policing said one driver was taken to hospital as a result of the crash.
