A driver was taken to hospital after his Mercedes van crashed off a bridge and into a canal.
The smash happened on Cabus Nook Lane, a road between Preston and Lancaster, at around 1.45pm last night (Wednesday), LancsLive reports. A dramatic picture showed the van on its side in the water next to the bridge.

The driver - aged in his 30s - was taken to hospital after emergency services arrived at the scene. His injuries were believed to be minor.
The road remains shut this morning for recovery. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We were called around 10.45pm yesterday (Wednesday, October 26) to a report of a collision in Cabus Nook Lane, Cabus.
"It was reported a Mercedes van had come off a bridge into a canal. Emergency services attended with the driver, a man in his 30s, taken to hospital for treatment.
"The road is closed to allow recovery of the vehicle today (Thursday, October 27)."
