A bus shelter in Northumberland has been severely damaged after a stolen vehicle was driven into it over the weekend.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning just outside the Dr Syntax pub in Prudhoe.
At around 12.30am, police received a report that a vehicle had been stolen from outside a premises on West Road. Someone had taken the keys to the vehicle without the owner's consent and driven off.

The vehicle then collided with a nearby bus shelter before the driver fled from the scene. Images taken at the scene show the severe damaged caused to the bus stop which has been cordoned off.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At around 12.45am yesterday (Sunday) Police received a report a vehicle had been taken from outside a premises on West Road, Prudhoe.
“It was reported that at 12.30am, someone had taken the keys to the vehicle without the owner's consent and driven off.
“The vehicle has then collided with a nearby bus shelter and the driver made off from the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police via the Tell us Something page of the website, quoting crime reference 047419V/22.”
