A woman has been rushed to hospital after a car ploughed into a wall near Edinburgh airport.
The crash happened on the A8 at Glasgow road, just before the slip road to the airport, shortly after 12pm on Thursday, June 2.
Emergency crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service, raced to the scene after they were alerted to the two-vehicle smash.
A female driver was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh as a precaution.
Her condition is not yet known.
Photos taken at the site show the aftermath of the incident, with a grey/silver car seen on the other side of the crash barrier after it appears to have plunged into a concrete wall.
The passenger doors look completely destroyed, with both of them dented due to the impact of the collision.
The section of the road where the crash occurred is cordoned off by cones, and at least two police cars, one of them blue-lit, are parked nearby.
Cops can also be seen standing guard, while paramedics tend to a woman sitting on the roadside.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the A8 at Glasgow Road, just before the slip road to Edinburgh Airport, at around 12:07pm on Thursday, 2 June, 2022 following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
