A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a truck and a car in mid Wales.

The road was closed for several hours after the crash, which involved a BMW car and a Mitsubishi truck. The driver of the car was seriously injured and taken to hospital, where he remains three days after the incident. Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward as they investigate the cause of the crash.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle road traffic collision that happened at around 4.50pm on Sunday (September 4) on the B4357 Whitton to Walton road in Powys. The collision involved a blue BMW and a black Mitsubishi L200. The driver of the BMW, a 23-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who has dash camera footage recorded at the location at the relevant time, is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police, either online, by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101, quoting reference DP-20220904-250.”
