Driver crashes into man and then drops him off at house in Kirkby

A driver crashed into a man and then took him to a house in Kirkby.

Merseyside Police were called to reports of a crash between a black Volkswagen estate vehicle and a pedestrian, on Old Rough Lane. The female driver of the car struck the pedestrian at around 2pm, on Sunday May 14 and stopped her vehicle.

It is understood she then drove the victim to a nearby house in Kirby before leaving him there and driving off. The man was later taken to hospital where it was confirmed that he had sustained a serious injury to his arm.

Following the crash extensive CCTV and witness enquiries were carried out in the area and now Merseyside Police are working to identify the driver of the vehicle as she could hold evidence that could assist police's enquiries.
