Drink-drive arrest after BMW motorist ploughs into railing in Bolton street 'while almost three times legal limit'

Police have arrested a driver who was caught nearly three times the legal alcohol limit after smashing his car into a railing in Bolton.

Officers attended the incident on St George's Road, Halliwell, last night, where the car was found dramatically crashed into a roadside barrier.

The driver was found to be nearly three times over the drink-drive limit, blowing 103 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
