Drey Wright is being backed to continue his productive season - both going back the way and in the forward department.
The right wing-back netted his sixth goal of the campaign to earn St Johnstone a point against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park last weekend.
His rasping strike from range - not the first time he has produced a venomous hit this season - further emphasised his attacking prowess.
Saints skipper Liam Gordon has been mightily impressed with Wright’s contribution and the consistent nature of his performances.
And he is sure there is still plenty more to come from the 27-year-old in the weeks ahead.
“Drey has been brilliant for us this season,” Gordon told the PA after the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock.
“He can play wing-back, right-back and right-wing.
“He is probably a joy for the manager and he is a joy to play with as well.”
While Wright’s goals have caught the eye, Gordon has also been impressed with how his team-mate operates in a defensive sense.
“His goal-scoring has been top drawer but he is not just scoring goals,” Gordon said. “He is doing the defensive side of the game well too. I’m hoping he can keep his run of form up.”
