‘Dreamland’ - Nottingham Forest fans go wild after ‘massive’ Blackburn win

Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction to a big win over Blackburn Rovers as the Reds climb into the play-off places.

Steve Cooper ’s men came out as 2-0 winners at Ewood Park thanks to a first-half strike from James Garner and a late Brennan Johnson penalty.

Blackburn defender Darragh Lenihan was also shown a second yellow card in the second half to reduce the hosts down to 10 men.

The result comes just days after the side knocked FA Cup holders Leicester City out of the competition and tops off what has been a memorable week for the club.

Forest now sit in sixth place in the Championship table, although Middlesbrough in seventh have the same number of points and a game in hand over Cooper’s side.

Following the full-time whistle at Ewood Park, Forest fans took to social media to share their delight at both the performance and result.

Here’s what just some had to say.

Tom Purcell : Felt thoroughly sick throughout that, but what a win! Hard fought, had to battle and fight from the first minute. Garner incredible. What a player Davis is. What a team. YOU REDS!!! #nffc

Gareth : That was a better win than Sunday.

Absolute battle.

Surridge excellent. What a bargain. #NFFC

A Paraguayan Tricky Tree : WHAT A WIN, WHAT A GAME, WHAT A NIGHT!!!! MORE THAN AMAZING NOTTINGHAM FOREST!

Alex Coad : What an unbelievable team we have #nffc

Nathan Savage : Massive massive MASSIVE three points #nffc

Phil : Blackburn we’re better with 10 men but a proper away performance, probably should of had more. McKenna MOTM for me for the clearance and block. Davis & Garner not far behind him. #nffc

Samuel : Brilliant defensively, really thought we were going to rue those missed chances. 4 points from the next 2 games and we’re finishing in the top 6 #nffc

Pank : We have just gone away to Blackburn, 2nd in the league and won 2-0.

This isn’t normal!

#nffc #dreamland #Believe

Neil Marshall : #nffc proud of every single one of them, good teams follow an excellent result like Saturdays with another

Holly : We beat Arsenal then backed it up with a win. Fair play.

But this was a much, much bigger task after Leicester and they’ve proved themselves once again.

Forest looked so up to the task tonight with quality all over the park. Soak it up - who would bet against us now?

#NFFC
