Jesse Marsch has revealed his long-term vision is to win trophies as Leeds United head coach. Just over one month ago, the Whites were in chaos and drubbings against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur left the club’s Premier League status hanging in the balance.
Fan favourite Marcelo Bielsa was sacked and Marsch arrived as a relative unknown to English football. The appointment was a risk but has turned out to be a rewarding one, with the former RB Leipzig boss dragging Leeds eight points clear of the relegation zone.
Two goalless outings in his first couple of games did little to calm the nerves but back-to-back wins against Norwich and Wolves and a point against Southampton means the 48-year-old has had a solid start to life at Elland Road. Whites fans have backed their new boss when it would have been easy to act with belligerence following the popular Argentine’s dismissal.
