Draymond Green Still Has High Hopes for How Many Championships He Can Win With Warriors

Draymond Green has won four NBA titles with the Warriors, but he doesn’t want to stop there.

When speaking with ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk, Green said the team’s current goal is to add a fifth title this upcoming season. And, then, he sees the Warriors continuing to have success from there.

“I don’t like to necessarily put a number on things, but I don’t see why we can’t get two more championships—Why not?” Green said. “I don’t see anything in the way stopping that. There’s great players in the NBA, I don’t doubt that, but I don’t see anything stopping us from getting two more championships.”

Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen’s six titles together was the last time a pair of famous NBA teammates won that many championships. Although Green is in a trio on the Warriors, including Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, it would be interesting if the Golden State could duplicate the Bulls’ success from the 1990s.

Most recently, the Warriors lost to the Lakers in the Western Conference semifinals during last season’s playoffs. However, the team made a handful of moves to try and revamp the roster for the upcoming campaign.

Back in June, Green signed a four-year, $100 million deal to stay with the Warriors. The Warriors also added Chris Paul this offseason.
