A car narrowly escaped rolling into a river after it spun off a Scots road. Dramatic pics show a tilted white car stuck in a grassy area, just metres away from the River Don in Aberdeen.
Emergency services raced to Gordon's Mills Road in the Tillydrone area of the city at around 6.20pm on Friday, July 1. A multi-agency response was launched following the one-car crash, but there was nobody in the car when mercy crews arrived.
Police Scotland cordoned off an area of the road close to where the car hand landed and vehicle recovery is currently being arranged.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a report of a one car crash on Gordon’s Mills Road, Tillydrone, Aberdeen at 6:20pm on Friday 1 July, 2022.
“There were no reports of any injuries and recovery is being arranged.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched three appliances to the scene after being called for assistance by police.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We received a call from the police at 18.38 on Friday, July 1 to assist at an RTC on Gordon's Mills Road, Aberdeen.
"Two pumps and a line rescue were mobilised to the scene involving one car which had no persons within. We received a stop message at 19.06."
