Massive flooding hit Drake’s giant mansion in Toronto following a torrential downpour in the Canadian city. The rapper shared footage on Instagram showing ankle-deep muddy water rushing into one floor of his home. Despite his efforts to keep the water at bay, the situation seemed overwhelming.
Drake's 50,000-square-foot mansion, located in Toronto’s Bridle Path district, was not the only property affected by the heavy rainfall. The city experienced a record-breaking 4 inches of rain during a late morning downpour, causing major commuter routes to be submerged under water.
Drivers found themselves stranded as water filled highways like the Don Valley Parkway, with an adjoining river overflowing its banks. The city was left with the daunting task of cleaning up the aftermath of the storm.
Fortunately, the city’s film studios, which are crucial for hosting original film and TV shoots for U.S. studios and streamers, were largely unaffected by the flooding. The studios, primarily located in Toronto’s portlands, reported no major flooding or power outages.
Despite the challenges posed by the flooding, the city remained resilient. At one point, approximately 135,000 residents were left without electrical power, highlighting the widespread impact of the severe weather event.
