The NFL will never be comfortable with players having too much fun and Falcons wide receiver Drake London learned this firsthand during Monday night’s thrilling win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
London caught the game-clinching touchdown pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins to put the team up 22-21 in the final seconds. After the play, the third-year wideout was penalized for making a “gun-like” gesture during his touchdown celebration.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the league has fined London $14,069 for his “unsportsmanlike conduct/violent gesture” in Monday’s victory over the Eagles. Watch the celebration for yourself below.

Atlanta’s passing game came alive on that final drive against Philadelphia in Week 2. London finished with six catches for 54 yards and a touchdown while Darnell Mooney led the team with a three-catch, 88-yard performance.
After an underwhelming game in Week 1, Cousins passed for 241 yards and two touchdowns, including that game-winning throw to London. Cousins still isn’t moving very well, but he proved to be lethal when the protection holds up.
The Falcons will have to protect their quarterback against a stout Kansas City Chiefs defense in Week 3. Sunday’s prime-time game kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
