Dragons RFC have finally confirmed Dean Ryan has left the region in a three-sentence statement.
An official announcement on Tuesday read: "Dragons RFC confirm the departure of Dean Ryan. Ryan has been Director of Rugby at Rodney Parade since May 2019. Dragons RFC Chairman, David Buttress, said: 'We thank Dean for his contribution and wish him every future success.'"
Ryan has been missing from the club for the past 15 weeks after a disastrous run of results last season and at the start of this campaign.

A severance package for the director of rugby has taken months to put in place, with his position on the board of the WRU-owned region complicating matters.
A statement finally came today, with WRU Gwent Rugby Limited also confirming to Companies House that Ryan's director position was terminated on New Year's Eve.
There were rumours of discontent among the Dragons squad throughout Ryan's reign, which began in 2019, and he publicly lambasted the players after the humbling early season defeat to Edinburgh back in September.
Dai Flanagan, who had been brought in as head coach under Ryan, has been in full charge of team matters ever since.
