Kandy Kitchen Creations featured in a pitch on tonight's (Thursday, January 20) episode of Dragons Den on BBC One at 8pm.
The show has budding entrepreneurs walk into the Dragons Den with three minutes to pitch their product and business to five multimillionaire dragons. Deborah Meaden, Sara Davies, Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman and new dragon Steven Bartlett hear out the pitches that come to the show whilst being willing to invest their own cash into the dreams of others.
Kandy Kitchen Creations is one dream that may be promising, as a down-to-earth running business already. The Rochdale-based group has had glowing reviews on Facebook being called a "friendly service" with "delicious" and "fuss free" products that are a "lifesaver".
What are Kandy Kitchen Creations meals?
The Kandy Kitchen Creations include the ingredients to make soups, stew, risottos and puddings.
All the ingredients needed for a recipe come in a tall and thin clear bag tied at the top with a ribbon. They are then turned into "natural, hearty and tasty" family meals just by emptying them into a pan or slow cooker, adding water and meat if you want to and then cooking.
They come in gluten free and vegan options and are slimming club friendly.
How do Kandy Kitchen Creations work?
The idea came about in summer 2017, when the creators, Andy and Karen Turner were staying with their friends in Canada.
They noticed a lot of homegrown products and local produce from the rural farming community were regularly sold at craft fairs and markets, which they hadn't seen in the UK.
From then on, the creators of Kandy Kitchen Creations were inspired to source their own natural ingredients and combine them into an easy form of packaging that looks attractive to customers and that is easy to make into recipes.
All the natural ingredients for a starter, main, or dessert come pre-measured and each package serves four.
How much do Kandy Kitchen Creations meals cost?
Soups from the range cost £5 a packet. The range includes beef and tomato soup, thai coconut soup and scotch broth.
