DR Power Recalls About 42,860 Walk-Behind Trimmer Mowers After 19 Fire Reports Tied to Grass and Debris Buildup

DR Power Equipment has recalled about 42,860 walk-behind trimmer mowers sold in the United States after receiving 19 reports of the machines catching fire. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice, posted Oct. 8, says grass and debris can build up inside the mowers and ignite.

The fire reports included two reports of minor injuries, such as blisters on hands and feet, according to the CPSC. About 340 more units were sold in Canada.
