At least 52 people in Israel have been injured in a drone attack, as confirmed by hospital officials. The incident occurred when the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that was launched from Lebanon in the northern naval area.
Although the exact location of the interception was not specified by the IDF, the incident followed a claim by Hezbollah that they had launched a swarm of attack drones on the Golani training camp in Binyamina, south of Haifa. Hezbollah stated that this action was in retaliation for Israeli strikes in Lebanon, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of 22 individuals and injuries to 117 others, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in north-central Israel reported treating 36 casualties from the UAV incident, noting that the injuries varied in severity. Sheba Tel Hashomer Medical Center in Ramat Gan indicated that it was providing care to three individuals injured in Binyamina, with two of them in critical condition. Rambam Hospital in Haifa also confirmed treating three injured persons, while the Emek Medical Center in northern Israel reported treating four individuals. Beilinson Hospital and Bnei Zion Medical Center in Haifa each reported treating three additional injured individuals.
The situation remains under investigation as authorities work to assess the full extent of the damage and provide necessary medical assistance to those affected by the drone attack.
