Dozen cars vandalised with bricks and paint stripper at Land Rover dealership

A dozen cars have been damaged extensively after vandals threw bricks and paint stripper at them at a Land Rover dealership. The Stratstone Land Rover dealership on Hadfield Road in Leckwith, Cardiff, was targeted on Monday night (May 23) at about 11.20pm.

Paint stripper and bricks were used to cause "extensive damage" to 12 cars at the dealership. The cost of the damage caused, however, is unknown.

South Wales Police are now investigating the incident and asking anyone with information to come forward and contact them.

A spokesperson for the force said: "South Wales Police is investigating criminal damage to 12 cars at a dealership on Hadfield Road. Paint stripper and bricks were used to damage to the cars causing extensive damage at around 11.20pm on Monday, May 23. Enquiries are ongoing."

WalesOnline approached the dealership but they declined to comment. A spokesperson for Land Rover added: "We wouldn't look to comment on this as it's a live investigation."

The dealership hit headlines earlier in May after a man left a series of vehicles covered in angry signs outside in a dispute over a warranty he claims the company had failed to honour. Land Rover said it was investigating the case and the dealership in Cardiff did not comment.

Anyone with information regarding the vandalism incident is asked to contact South Wales Police quoting *172788. You can do this by calling 101 or reporting it online by clicking here.
