A female shop worker has been left shaken after a "frightening" robbery on Sunday afternoon.
It was reported just after 6.45pm yesterday, that 10 minutes earlier, a man had entered Murphy's shop in the Fountain Street area of Downpatrick and demanded that the staff member fill a black plastic bag with cash and tobacco.
The suspect then left the shop and turned left, making his way off on foot in the direction of Scotch Street.

Detective Constable Slevin said: "Thankfully, the member of staff was physically uninjured but she has been left shaken by what was a frightening ordeal.
"The suspect is described as being approximately 5' 10" tall and was reported to be wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a black top and blue gloves. His whole face was described as being covered by a pale-coloured covering.
"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything, or who may have dashcam or other footage, to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1555 of 13/11/22.
"Alternatively, you can submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.
