The biggest queue by far at Download 2022 had around 250-300 people in it and showed no signs of diminishing in the near future. What were the festival goers queuing for? To get a tattoo at their favourite rock festival.
Michael Kidd, from Newcastle, and Johnny Webb, from Gloucester, had been queuing for about two hours to get into the tattoo tent when we spoke to them and it looked like they would have at least another hour to wait.
It will be a fifth tattoo for Michael done at a Download festival and has become a tradition for him - it was the fourth for Johnny. The process works by people selecting their design from dozens on display but all with a rock and music theme. They range in price from around £50 through to £300.
