As police announced more fines for breaches of Covid-19 rules at the top of Government, Downing Street revealed that both Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak are to be handed fixed penalty notices.

The confirmation came amid a police investigation into allegations of lockdown-busting parties in Downing Street and Whitehall.
