Taiwo Awoniyi has only been a Nottingham Forest player for a few days and already he is being touted for “bigger moves”.
The striker arrived as a record £17m signing from Union Berlin over the weekend, signing a five-year contract at the City Ground. And his Nigerian international team-mate Victor Osimhen believes he will do so well with the Reds that he will “still go higher”.
Awoniyi was sold by Liverpool to Union Berlin last summer, but has quickly earned himself a move back to the Premier League thanks to a terrific season in Germany, where he scored 20 goals in all competitions. If the 24-year-old has any further doubters, Napoli striker Osimhen, who has been linked with the likes of Newcastle, Arsenal, and Manchester United, believes he will prove them wrong.
