Arsenal centre-back Ezri Konsa and Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly are considered doubts for England’s visit to the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
England head to the Czech capital under pressure for a first win of their Nations League campaign after falling to a 3-2 defeat at home to Spain in their opening fixture of the campaign at Wembley on Saturday.
Thomas Tuchel has said he wants to keep his team much the same as that which started against Spain, but there are two potential doubts in Konsa and O’Reilly.
Both started against the the world champions, but on Monday were following individualised training programmes at Tottenham’s training ground on Monday.
The other 22 members of the squad were in group training as normal and are available for the match against the Czech Republic at Fortuna Arena.
It remains to be seen whether Konsa or O’Reilly are made available for the match, with the squad due to fly to the Czech capital on Monday afternoon. Tuchel will hold a pre-match press conference in Prague later this evening and will be expected to provide the latest news on his players’ availability.
Earlier on Monday, it was confirmed by the FA that Jamie Gittens had withdrawn from the England Under-21s squad and returned to Chelsea with an ankle injury.
The Chelsea winger was substituted in the 39th minute of Friday night’s 4-2 Euro U21 qualifying win over Kazakhstan.
After the match, Gittens was pictured on crutches and England U21 head coach Lee Carsley revealed the 22-year-old would return to Cobham for tests on an ankle injury.
