LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said that the "double engine government" has only doubled joblessness, price rise and corruption in the state and has halved the income of farmers.
Addressing public meetings in Ambedkarnagar, Basti and Sant Kabirnagar, Akhilesh said, "The double engine government has not held army recruitments for the last three years and joblessness is on the rise. Prices of essential commodities, including that of fuel and cooking gas, have sky-rocketed and LPG cylinders that came for Rs 400 under this regime itself is now being sold at Rs 1,000."
