Big-talking Borussia Dortmund key man Julian Brandt has urged his team-mates to "scoop out the s**t" in their own display when they take on Rangers
The Germans are facing up to a two-goal deficit after the Ibrox side's stunning 4-2 win last week at the Westfalenstadion.
But they bounced back in considerable style with a 6-0 thumping of Borussia Monchengladbach before their trip to Rangers for the play-off round, second leg.
And the 36-times capped German international has urged his colleagues to cut out their previous mistakes when they go to Ibrox and backed colleague Mats Hummels' criticism of the team last week.
He said: "We need to try and scoop out the s**t on Thursday when we play Rangers.
"It's been a roller coaster ride for us recently. Great result, terrible result. That game was fun for us and I am sure for the fans too.
"But none of us want to be on this roller coaster. If I knew the reason I would turn the switch off immediately.
"A few days ago after the Rangers match, the feeling around the camp was completely negative.
"But I haven't lost hope for Thursday and nobody here in Dortmund should. I always believe in the team.
"Mats Hummels put across his opinion clearly and we all know he is someone who gets straight to the point and we're all okay with that.
"If you make a bad game, you have to put up with it. We are a team and we will carry on."
And BVB skipper Marco Reus has predicted a real battle this week in Glasgow.
He said: "We should play like that in every game. It's also about staying calm when you're not at your best. We have to show our class on Thursday. For us, it's a final. We got our confidence back.
"A fight awaits us and we will be ready.
"We have to keep at it and keep believing in ourselves."
Meanwhile, maverick Stefan Effenberg has written off Borussia Dortmund as 'not very good' ahead of their Europa League showdown with Rangers this week.
The Bundesliga giants recovered from their 4-2 defeat by Rangers last week in the first leg of the play-off round to hammer Borussia Monchengladbach 6-0.
They will need to win by at least two goals on Thursday to even take the tie into extra time and former Bayern Munich and Germany ace Effenberg - who courted controversy throughout his colourful career - isn't impressed with the current Dortmund side.
He said: "The problem with Dortmund is that they have too many players who simply overestimate their own ability.
"They have many guys playing for themselves. Most of them think they are good players, but actually, they are not very good at all.
"The people responsible at BVB should be looking to get rid of these players in the summer."
And former Borussia Dortmund striker Heiko Herrlich, who went on to be a manager at Bayer Leverkusen, questioned their mentality ahead of their trip to Glasgow.
He said: "If you go into a game like Thursday there and think you are playing against a team like St Pauli for example, when you are actually playing Rangers, then that's not good enough.
"It's hard for me to understand what they were thinking.
"With Dortmund, you don't see the unconditional will to win they used to have under Jurgen Klopp."
