Cleveland Browns quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson was given the starting nod in the team’s second preseason game. With other quarterbacks Deshaun Watson and Jameis Winston resting, Thompson-Robinson was able to get all the starting reps in the first half against the Vikings this afternoon.
Thompson-Robinson managed to collect 126 passing yards on 13 of his 17 passes. He also had an interception in the 27-12 loss. Dorian found the time to discuss his impressive performance with WEWS reporter Camryn Justice; “We just try to come out here and play clean efficient football” said the second-year quarterback. He also praised the credit and hard work of the rookie wide receivers fighting to earn a spot on this competitive Cleveland Browns roster.
The former UCLA Bruin is currently projected to be behind Watson and Winston on the regular season depth chart as he battles with Tyler Huntley in the QB room. He will have one more opportunity to impress against the Seattle Seahawks next Saturday at 10:00 P.M Eastern.
